Default The amount of police and stewarding at the game yesterday for that lot

Not only in the ground but outside... Was a massive amount of them.

    Paid for by the club?

Just not worth it.... Why do we give them anything like the number of seats they got yesterday? It's a cost not worth bearing by the club in my opinion.

If we didn't and they went in the pitch (not like they have previous) we'd have been strung up

The amount of police that was at the corner between ticket office and broomloan to start with was a joke, only 4 police horses separating the hibs scumbags walking to the turnstyles then what everyone knew would happen did happen, fighting started then more police came, the amount of riot vans that was outside the broomloan after the game should of been there before the game to stop what was inevitable in my opinion.

I'm not disputing police were needed but I am disputing the number of seats we give them.

And the other lot across the city

So why start a thread about the police and not their allocation?

Thw fact of the matter is we called on here for them to be penned in like animals and they were yet some are still complaining.

If we gave them less tickets we would have still bore the same costs for segregation.

There was at least 30 cops outside the away end when we walked past at about 1.50pm including 2 police horses. I remember thinking it seemed a bit of overkill. I didn't see Hibs fans at that point.

I have a "radical idea" that would kill two birds with one stone . Move the away fans including the Savillers into the worst location in Ibrox , BF1 ! Prior to the corners being built that was the away section I see no reason why we can't do make it that again and at the same time move the UB/BF1 lads out of that daft wee corner.

Why were cops lining the Copland yet the Govan wasn't covered in that respect?

Regardless - in recent history there was only one set of supporters who'd be causing trouble and it wasn't us.

I really think it was because that wee prick came back.

The police would know how much we hate the c.unt.

And the wee prick delivered. I really hope he gets done in down in Jinties. Hint hint.

Why do the polis get sent in and out round the track at every flashpoint and not just stay out? Young un asked me yesterday and I didn't actually know.

The hives had one way in and one way out. Police were there as well as dogs.
That puts the shi.tter up anyone hearing those police dogs. Think that was enough
to contain them. It was a high risk game and Rangers were taking no chances by not
having enough stewards and police about.
Every time a team scores or a flash point happens,
police will go trackside to make sure idiots don't run on the pitch.
Not saying they do this at every game in the leagues, just the high risk games.
Heard there was a bit of bother prior to game when the hives came to the turnstyles.
Not sure about what happened and how much bother there was?
Anyway, the day was spoiled more by an idiot of a ref. He should have had a police escort
after that woeful performance. And the linesmen.

It was a crazy bit of policing after the game yesterday.

I came out of BF5 and as usual, headed down the Govan towards the Copland Rd. However, the cops had Police vans strung out across the walkway with smallish gaps between them. This resulted in a bottleneck of Rangers fans trying to go in opposite directions, slowing the whole process down.

Further along from them (about 15 -20 meters) they had a line of Police who you had to dodge through to progress down the back of the Govan (SJ) stand.

The Hibs fans were locked in at this point, so what was the point of f**king us around?!? It didn't make any sense at all.

Guys I was thinking of the sheer cost to the club for policing that bunch. Must have been huge.

After my first time experience at the back of CD1, I would put them there, it's feckin awful.

lets face it, if there had not been as much OB before the game there would have been attacks on the Hibs fans walking up to the ground. Not sure if they where giving it big licks because of the police numbers.

We should be making it more of a hostile environment for away fans coming to Ibrox. The sight of Aberdeen fans walking around Copland Road Stand past the Mega store last year and nothing being said to them shows how weak our fans have become.

You try walking through the home end at Easter Road, Sheepville and see how they treat us.

I believe there were extra cops yesterday due to the game being classed as 'high risk',i think it was discussed on the radio after the match.
