    Default Herrera

Firstly I'm not slagging the guy I genuinely want him to succeed but for a target man he doesn't seem to win to many headers in the air. Watched him last week and today against Hibs and he really struggled in the air, if he's not there to win headers and link up play what does he offer as he doesn't look very mobile.

The hibs striker gingeylocks looked a much better player, a freebie from scottish division 1. Looks better than a guy with caps for Mexico. Mad.

The long balls up to him are hopeless.

Centre halfs in the SPL could header long balls away all day for fun. It's about the only decent thing we produce.

Let's give it time. He wasn't bad last week. Let's have this thread after half a season. He has had to move halfway around the world, adjust to a new side, language and country. I think he and Morelos in a 4-4-2 would suit his strengths more.

Tbh despite his lack of mobility I thought he worked hard today needed support though the one he slid in at the byeline winning the ball a prime example

He's a decent player but he is very slow and does not get in goal scoring positions

I actually thought he did ok when he can on and he certainly won his fair share of headers although he was often isolated. He certainly put in a shift and I think him and Morelos up front could do well.

He got in to two last week and we never teed him up.

He had nothing to work with today. His work was done outside the box.

Felt sorry for him.Useless punts to him when he was isolated, not for the first time this season.

He won lots of headers but didn't do anything with them .

All for giving the guy a chance but Moult looks to be a better player.

Won his fair share oh headers today & far too often no one was anywhere near him to win the knock down. What is point of playing long ball if we aren't gonna get players near him to win the knock down.

Again, I haven't seen the game today but I agree re last week. If Windass teed him up, he'd have had a couple of goals (certainly one at least) thus far.

Can't slate the guy for today, he didn't have any crosses to work with since candias went off at half time.

Reiminds me of the Joe Garner threads, he tried hard also!

Didn't stand a chance today. Clearly told to make himself a target and hope that others would run off him.

90% of the balls played at him were directly down the middle.

F*ck knows what some people expect.😶

This is common sense and is why I would play Morelos alongside him. He needs a runner.

Felt sorry for him. Ball punted long every time and he was up against two centre halves with no support within 30 yards of him.

As for Murray ? He ran us fuc.king ragged today.

The service to him has been shit, end of.

Still we have had posters suggest that he is a smashing player with lots of attributes. I've never seen it-no brute strength, no pace, no great hold up play, not that great in the air-ok link up play. Maybe he's still adjusting but I'd expect to see something in one area of play where you could say that's his strength.

My biggest puzzle at 1.5M is why we needed to go to Mexico to get a player like this.

He looks like he is running through treacle, slow, cumbersome, looks a poor signing but give him time, How much time would be my question.

    Morelos looked gassed second half.

It's a no from me. The money spent on the two Mexicans is what will lose Pedro his job.

Said in another thread he is never a target man .

Someone running off him or not, he doesn't win enough headers to make that work .

He hasn't looked great over all if i'm being brutally honest.

Still early days but the signs up to now aren't that good.

He won quite a few aerial duels, but as usual there was no one near him.
